Special Locations

Attics, Yards, Hallways & More

Our special locations reveal the hidden layers of Berlin’s architectural past — raw, haunting, and full of atmosphere. From vast courtyards and abandoned staircases to tiled rooms, attics, and wood-paneled halls, these spaces embody a striking visual contrast between decay and quiet beauty.

The historic apartment complex from 1917 forms the heart of this setting: eight old buildings surrounding a secluded courtyard, where traces of East German architecture meet earlier design details. The mood shifts between melancholy and authenticity — perfect for scenes that require depth, history, or tension.

Also available are a remarkable 1920s staircase with original details, several undeveloped attics ideal for dark or moody setups, and a small backyard enclosed by a weathered brick wall. A white-tiled room can be transformed into  a laboratory, prison cell, or abstract installation, while larger paneled spaces offer flexibility for offices, schools, or studios.

These locations are unpolished, adaptable, and cinematic — places that carry the memory of another time yet remain ready for reinvention. They invite experimentation and reward every production with their distinctive, time-worn character.
